Hello to all!
I have found that 3 of my "MacLean's" went from the Moray area to the Aberdeen area until their deaths.
First one:
Christina MacLean died on 15 Apr 1950, she was 83.
Second one: (Christina's daughter)
Elizabeth MacLean Peterkin died on 10 Dec 1972, she was 71.
Third one: (also a daughter)
Mary MacLean Anderson died on 24 Sep 1974, she was 84.
My question is - Does anyone have access to seeing if they had Obits in the local newpaper?
Thanks!
Valerie

I checked the Moray Heritage Site which has proved very valuable to me in locating ancestors.
Your Christina MacLean Ref. #NM119005 had her obit. in the Elgin Courant Apr. 21 1950.
Elizabeth Maclean Peterkin NM 138258 obit was in the Northern Scot on Dec. 16 1972.
There was no obit for Mary Maclean Anderson NM 120205. Check out the site for further info on all of your 3 Macleans.
I personally tried to contact the Northern Scot via email to find out where I might get a copy of an obit. but they never replied to my email.
Regards - Torrygirl PS I was able to add to the Moray heritage database with info that I had on ancestors and they were very happy to receive it.
