Hi, I don't know if there is a connection but I have a James Hardy in my tree. He was the son of John Hardy and Sarah Baldwin. John Hardy was born in Paddington c 1804/5.
Hardy is my mothers maiden name and they all lived in the Peckham/Camberwell area. Before they moved there they lived in Southwark close to the river, Belvedere Buildings Borough Rd, Black Prince Road, Ethelred St, Lambeth Walk etc. They were a huge family and well known.I would be interested to share any info to see if there is a link,
Regards, Lynne
