Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help me?
I am seeking JANE COLE GLADWIN, B: ~1834 in Chelmsford.
I believe her parents are called HENRY and SARAH GLADWIN. Sisters could include ISABELLA SOPHIA (b 1831), ANN SEWELL GLADWIN (b 1836) and KEZIAH BELL GLADWIN (b 1838).
Many thanks
Craig :)

Please check pictures http://truckaa.com/william_gladwin.bmp

I have these 2 ambrotype pictures of Captain William Gladwin and another picture who we think was his wife. I’m not sure of the dates. I have note that he had 4 children. I can really make out some of the names but I’ll try to just type what I see. (??st Earl , maybe ?ust earl) (Challis Herburt) (William P.) (Albert L)
I believe these pictures are from the 1800's. I had an uncle who have had these pictures in a box. He was the oldest of 3 brothers. My Dad was one of the brothers. The pictures are in a leather folds with velvet inside to protect the glass. The hinges are a little broken.
Again there is only speculation that the women in the picture is his wife. No documentation. Although my cousin (the daughter of the oldest brother) looks alot like her in that picture. So I can only guess she is a relative.
I have heard that my ancestors do trace back to the Lord High Sheriff of Darbishire. Not sure of the Date.

Bill,
Is this Captain William Gladwin of Essex/Saybrook, CT? If so, he had 5 children, Eveline A, William P, Herbert L, Charles A and Albert L. His wife was Mabel Tooker, also of Essex/Saybrook. I am descended from Herbert L Gladwin.
I have further information on William and his descendents. I would be very interested in viewing the photos you have (the links in your post are broken) and in sharing information.
Margaret
