Title: CROW family
Post by: Crowhunt on Saturday 25 February 06 03:27 GMT (UK)
Hello to all!
I am working on my England CROW family line and wanted to know if anyone had any connections to them:
David(1842-?) & Margaret(1842/3-?) CROW
1) Margaret(1864)
2) Isabella(1868)
3) George(1872) -M- Mary Aindow
4) Janet(1874)
5) David(1876) -M- Martha Oddy
6) James(1879) -M- Elizabeth Jone
As of 1901 Census they were all living in the Lancashire area.
Thanks for reading!
Valerie

Great!  :D
I hope that you have lots of information to share! I have been working on my "Crow" line for 9 years and you are the first person that has had any type of connection! I was really starting to feel like I was the only survivor left in 'this' Crow family. It was getting very lonely being the only researcher.
Please write back!

Hi
I have only just started my research on the Crow line so I probably won't be of much help.  As I am sure you are aware David & Margaret had a son called James in 1879, he married Elizabeth Ellen Jones in 1901. They had 2 children Reginald Broadbridge Crow (b1901) and Leslie Argyle Crow (b1903) both in Liverpool. Sadly James died in 1904 and Elizabeth never remarried.

Leslie married Ruth Mcduff and they had 4 children - the first 3 were born in London and the last one back in Liverpool.

My father in law moved down to Southampton and had his family here - which is where most of his descendants are (and believe me there are lots of them!).

One of his sisters emigrated to the States and is currently living in Keywest.

Oh this is exciting!
I do hope with ALL of your connections over there
you can help me with all the "why's" and "how's" of
the family. I am so thrilled I could bust!
Have a great day,
Valerie

Hello, Not sure I am any relation or linked but I found it interesting that You had someone with the name Broadbridge Crow....

My early Broadbridge family from London married into the Crow family... John Broadbridge married Elizabeth Crow in Finsbury 02 Feb 1786, after his 1st wife Mary died in 1785.... They named a daughter Elizabeth Crow Broadbridge.. This John Broadbridge may have also had a brother Henry who married Mary Crow.in 1796. possibly a sister of Elizabeth....  :o

Ha Ha ...well that was a waste of time ...according to the 1881 census in Kirkdale,Liverpool
David Crow is born 1842 in SCOTLAND and his wife is Margaret G Crow born SCOTLAND
so Scottish research needed now
looks like  they married in Scotland ?

so forget my previous 2 posts - your Crow family and his wife are Scottish - not Liverpool/Lancashire pre 1842

do you know Margaret G Crow  maiden name ?
