My wife and I are wanting to create a Family Tree on both sides of the family.
I have had a look at sites such as ANCESTRY but none of these are free, I am willing to pay once we have the basics. Could anyone advise us of suitable sites to start.

Hello Ken & Margaret :) :) :)
Where to start ??? That's a biggy. It really depends on how much you know about your families all ready. The beginners list on this site will give you lots of help. Also, there is a really good book by Paul Herber.

also if you post their names maybe someone is searching the same line and will help .I found also Genes Reunited very helpful but it also requires payment

Tell us what info you already know and what certificates you have as your source.
If possible - include names, dates and counties. :)
We're all eager to help.
Oh and how did you become interested?
Was it because of the Who do you think you are TV series??
