Help please
Ive found what I take to be one of my ancestors on the Sugar Refiners and Sugar Bakers Database
He is Henry Cooke 1871 of ANNINKRIAN in Germany. I have tied to find it but have drawn a blank anyone any idea ?

Hi Stormin Norman and welcome to RootsChat!!
I checked on the 1871 census and there was a Sugar Baker from "Anniverian Germany" - on the same page - but I'm wondering if they were trying to say - "Hanovarian" ??? ??? ???
Just a thought!
Annie :)

Hi Annie,
Good thinking !!
A Hanovarian, someone who comes from Hannover in Germany - that makes a lot of sense !

I think that this might be two words.
Annin is a place in the USA
Krian is a place name and a family name.
So is it a missprint or is it not in Germany. 1871 Germany could be a number of places now.
