Hi,
you will be able to get birth and marriage certicates for your parents in law. If you can get to a local Latter Day Saints library they will probably have the Irish indexes for you to search.
This site http://www.groireland.ie/ - irish Registrars gives information about applying for certificates.
This site: www.leitrim-roscommon.com has a link to the 1901 census and parts of Mayo have been transcribed. You can search for Mullaghroe on there and find a Garrett family who may be yours.
There are Connor families in the area - can't find any reference anywhere to a Borhave chapel - perhaps you may know where Bridget came from.
As your in laws were born after the 1911 census - it may not be of use to you but you can order microfilm copies to view LDS centres.
My mother in law came from that general area - I don't know if you have been there but it's like driving to the end of the earth!! It's gorgeous though!
best wishes

Hi again, forgot to mention that Belmullet stands on Broadhaven bay -I wonder if that is the 'Borhave' reference?

Hi, Did you have any luck with your search? We may be related, My Mother in Law born Ann Garrett born jan 1942 in Belmullet Hospital., her mother Mary Garrett. Ann was adopted - no other information as yet.
There are Garrett in Mullaghroe North and Mullaghroe South. Parish seems to be Falmore or Faulmore

Hello greentree and welcome :)
As you can see tam ganley posted this in 2006 so you may not receive a reply.
Since then there are more online resources which you may know of - https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/civil-search.jsp
is very useful but births only go to 1917.
Good luck with your enquiries. Rootschat is a very helpful site so if you have further queries it might be best to start a new thread.
The main thing to remember is not to post names of people who may still be alive.
This is the only reference I can see for Ann Garrett but it is 1943 - not 1942.

Have you applied for a birth certificate?
Best regards
