Title: Access to 1851c Cork, Cannon family?

I am trying to trace my g g g grandmother Sarah Cannon.

She was born about 1846 (I was told she came from Cork).
Her father was called Denis Cannon, I have this off her marr cert.  She married a John Garvey in Oldham, Lancs in 1869.  I have no idea when she came to England.  I believe her and John are one the 1871c living in Oldham, I think she may have still been in Ireland for the 1861c. 

If anyone can help I would be very grateful.  Thanks.

Hello Josie,

I looked at the Valuation extracts on John Hayes failteromhat.com site. There was no sign of Denis Cannon but here are other counties where there was a guy of that name.

1901 census is first complete census for all Ireland. Only small fragments of earlier ones for a few areas still survive. For Co. Cork 1851 for parishes of Kilcrumper (part), Kilworth, Leitrim (part) and Macrony (part) seem to survive (National Archives, Dublin).
No records were kept of people traveling between Ireland, England, Scotland and Ireland as all were part of U.K.

I am descended from a Bridget CAnnon born 1824 in Ireland dau.of Bryen Cannon born 1801 in Ireland. they lived in Glanford Brigg, Lincolnshire in 1861 and later after her marriage to John Dennison, they moved to Oldham for a while. they then returned to Luddington, Lincolnshire and she died there in 1909

My Sarah Cannon was born 1846 in Ireland,  just where I've never been able to find out or what year she came to live in England.

She married John Garvey (born Galway) in Oldham in 1869, on the marr cert., her father is named as Denis Cannon.  John and Sarah had a daughter Mary Ellen (my great grandmother) in 1871.  They also had a son Thomas.  Both Sarah and Thomas died in 1874, Sarah 28 Thomas 2.
