Post by: indiapaleale on Sunday 26 September 04 17:44 BST (UK)
I would very much appreciate a look up for the following family who should be in the Clunbury, Hopesay, Clungunford area.
Ephraim Bathurst born 1808 and his wife Hannah also born 1808.
They had the following children:
Ephraim, born1841
Jane, born 1842
Ann, born 1845
Mary, born 1847
Catherine, born 1850
Susannah, born 1852
Thanks in advance,
India in California :)

Ann Bathurst is my gr gr grandmother! b 1845 Clunbury (also spelt Clunberry), Clun, Shropshire. She married Edward Dunn b 1845 of Lingen, Herefordshire and were last located in Aldrige, Worfield (Bridgenorth), Clayhanger, Staffordshire.

There is a lot of confusion between the Dunn families, because the name is spelt at least 3 different ways in documentation and although they originally appear to have come from an agricultural background, several of the male Dunn line switched to mining or mining related occupations.

The note regarding the Bathursts emigrating to Canada on another section explains why I was unable to find them after 1886 and the information supplied here has just filled in a few gaps - Thanks !!

Would love to share info, most will be available at my site when online. India please feel free to pm me with your email.
