Would be interested to hear from anyone  researching  Westbrook's pre 1800  in Berkshire mainly from Wokingham,Wantage and West Hanney.

I see this is an old post but I thought it worth a try, I have Westbrook family from Berkshire but most of them are around the Cosham district. Any help?

Welcome to Rootschat,'my Westbrook family starts in 1662 with the birth of Stephen Westbrook his father was John Westbrook mother unknown) Stephen married Alice Shorter in 1686 in Wokingham. Stephen and Alice had six children who's lines I am still working on.

Hi Jericho, I realise it's been many years, but I am researching the Shorter family - you may already know this, but Stephen Westbrook is mentioned in the 1723 will of Robert Shorter, as the husband of Robert's sister (presumably Alice). I cannot find a baptism for Alice sadly - Robert may have been bapt in 1674 the son of Thomas and Alice... the mother's name does suggest a daughter might have been named after her, but nothing found.
