Help Needed!
Does anyone out there know of the McDonald family that came out from Greenock, Scotland to Geelong, Australia back in the 1860s?
His name is Alexander McDonald. He married in Geelong to a Martha Lewis in 1873 and she came from Berkshire England.
In 1874 they had a son named Alexander McDonald.
I know that this is a long shot.

Hi Andrea, Just following on from Evergreen's find, I found a burial for a Matthew Mcdonald at Geelong Eastern Cemetery.in 1876. He may be interesting as he is the only one by that name there.
Also there are some Alexander Mcdonalds who may fit one or the other of your 2. There are also 2 Martha Mcdonalds.
None of this is very conclusive, but may be of interst to you.
Click this link and use the 2nd search option and (strangely) search by just first name. Bit unusualJ. ust keep turning page till you get there!!
