I am seeking information about siblings of John Douch who was born in Dallington in 1823. Parents may have been William Douch born about 1786 in Lenham, Kent and Mary Boniface born about 1787 in Lewes, Sussex who married on 15 Oct 1807 at Hailsham, Sussex.
Any assistance with this would be much appreciated.

Hello Chris
Thank you very much for this information. I'm not too sure how all these people connect together, but given the location it seems likely that they are related in some way.
My earliest direct ancestor in this line that I have identified with any certainty is John Douch who was born in Dallington in 1823. He married an Eleanor Pattenden in Hurst green in 1846 and they had a number of children.
Tracing John's ancestry has been a bit difficult. It was suggested to me that William Douch & Mary Boniface were likely candidates for his parents, although this has still to be proved.
I imagine that John had a number of siblings but who they were & what became of them is a mystery at the moment.
If anyone has any other information that may be relevant I would be grateful to receive it.
Regards
Andrew :)

This won't help you at the moment but we might tie up somewhere at some point ;)
I have a WILLIAM DOUCH (born 1868 in Hastings, parents WILLIAM DOUCH and MARY ANN VIDLER) who married into my SANDS line .... which originated in Dallington ;D

I also have a couple of BONIFACES but I don't think we tie up there. ;)
Good luck with the search
Cheryl (yippee, it's been months but I'm finally back to the family history ! ;D )

Hi Cheryl
Thanks very much for this.
There must be a link somewhere but at the moment I am unable to make the connection.
Interestingly, I also have Pumphreys & Sands but cannot see a link with your own just now.
Regards
Andrew
