Linet,

If you contact the Harmer Family Association at www.harmer.org you might be pleasantly surprised.  They have been of enormous help to us.

Hi, I have connections to the Holland family from Yarmouth. Have traced them back to Thomas Holland, 1807 and am currently researching his son George Frederick Holland born in 1848

Hi There
I keep seeing those names while researching Everydayman, wondered if they were connected.

I have a brickwall at William Holland B:? and Mary Pursley B:? /Parsley/Parslee married 17 May 1785, St Peter, South Elmham, Norfolk, England.
Known Children:
David B:1791 South Elham, Suffolk, England,
Susanna B: 1794 Horningtoft, Norfolk, England,
William B: 1796, Horningtoft, Norfolk, England
Mary B: 1803 Horningtoft, Norfolk, England
Robert B: 1804 Horningtoft, Norfolk, England
Do any of these names ring a bell?
Jan

Hi Jan,

no sorry I havent come across those names, well yet anyway.

The furthest back I have got so far is Thomas Holland and Elizabeth Wilson has a son Thomas Wilson Holland in 1807. Thomas Wilson Holland married an Elizabeth (Barber?) and they were George Frederick Holland's parents. One of George F's children was Charles who was my Great Great Grandfather.

best wishes

Gary

Hi again

Yes keep seeing the Barber connection. I had Barber's  in my town (Australia) growing up and was told we were related, haven't made the connection yet. But perhaps we will be able graft some "branches" on later.

Also have a Harmer in my tree, just one at the moment Mabel Ellen 1905 - 1933, married Bert Holland youngest son of William Henry 1864 - 1913 son of Henry above.
All the best & thanks for the reply
Jan
