Title: Parents of Thomas Duck (Calne)

I am looking for the mother of Thomas Duck born in Calne circa 1747. His father was Edward Duck. Thomas married Priscilla Strong 22nd April, 1770. Can anyone help me please. :)
Also who were Priscilla's parents?? I know nothing about her at all.
Would be grateful for any help. Thank you.

This looks like your Thomas

Thomas Duck Christened    11 February  1744  Calne  Wiltshire
Father Edward   Mother s name not listed

Just for the record a second Thomas Duck was Christened in Calne on  4 December  1746  father Robert, no mothers name

There were other children listed for Edward Duck. In 1761 an Edward Duck was listed as the father of Mary and Abigail as the mother. This pair married in 1760.

I will have a look for Priscilla.

      Thomas Duck 25 Jan 1829 husband of Priscilla age 82
       Priscilla Duck 22 Aug 1811 wife of Thomas age 65

I cannot help with your request, as I have the same problem. Thomas and priscilla were my 4x great grandparents. I am descended through their son, Abel DUCK, then his daughter, Elizabeth Ann DUCK who married george PULLING.
I have had a researcher in Wiltshire looking for Priscilla, and no luck.

I am also descended from Thomas Duck and Priscilla Strong.
I have never found a Priscilla Strong born anywhere near Calne at a likely time, but I have found a marriage for Edward Duck to Mary Norman 24 Jan1743 at Calne.
Also that Edward appears to be the son of Edward Duck and Mary Ponten who were married in 1715 at Calne.

I found the following information in my family tree:

Thomas Duck, birth 4 dec. 1746, Calne Wiltshire, Death: 26 jan 1829 Blackland, Calne, Wiltshire
Father: Robert Duck, birth: 14 oct. 1706, Calne Wiltshire
Mother: Mary Holloway, birth: 2 mar 1711

Spouse: Priscilla Strong, birth: about 1744, Calne, Wiltshire, married: 22 apr 1770, Calne, Wiltshire
Death: 22 aug 1811, Blackland, Calne, Wiltshire. Thomas and Priscilla have 10 children.


I am also very curious if anyone has found documents about the birth of Priscilla and knows who her possible parents are.
