Need help findiing Bennett John Ralph arriving in Vancouver from Cornwall ( Falmouth) 1912-14 AND Mary Ann Manley arriving 1913-15 in Vancouver from Devon. Can't make' head nor tail' of the National Archives!! Cheers, Beckleberry

I assume you are looking for ships records? They are unfortunately really tricky to work with in Canada.
The people you are looking for would have arrived in Canada in one of the eastern ports (Halifax, Montreal, Quebec) or even one of the US ports and made their way across to Vancouver likely by train.
The National Archives holds ships list starting in about 1865, but they are not indexed. They are held on microfilm in chronological order of arrival. So, unless you can narrow down the time of arrival to whithin a few months, ordering these films and trawling through hundreds of entries is not really a practical option.
The Archives has indexed a portion and put it online, but it is only the period 1925-1935, so likely too late for your two. This database can be found at http://www.collectionscanada.ca/archivianet/020118_e.html
There are various websites out there with transcriptions of ships lists, so you might strike it lucky, but only if the ship your family was on HAPPENS to have been transcribed by a volunteer. Check out www.theshipslist.com, http://www.immigrantships.net/ and olivetree genealogy (can't remember the URL - try googling it).
Do you know for sure that they went direct to Vancouver? Might they be in another province before that? The 1901 and 1911 Canadian Censuses are on-line. Go to automatedgenealogy.com for a full index of the 1901 and a partial index of the 1911 (volunteers are still working on the 1911).
