Hello all,
I was wondering if anything can be done about the top of this photo which is rather faded. I did try to darken it and got some additional detail, but then the darker areas just came up black. I ws hoping someone could perhaps do a creative bit of cut and pasting, perhaps...making a copy darker all round, then just copying the darkerned top and pasting it somehow to this copy? Well I would give it a try myself but I don't even have photo editor anymore.

It looks to me as though the photo' you have posted isn't the original, If I am right , is it possible to post a scan of the original.

Oh! by the way without any cleaning or touching up this is the amount of detail that can be salvaged from your post, a little more detail in the blouses and skirts - I will try to clean it up tonight.

No not the original, sorry, and I don't know if one still exists.
Thanks for replying,

This one is a little better, but I think it needs someone better than me - or with a lot more patience.
