Hi Krisesjoint,
Thanks for your help and answering my lookup request.
His job on the 1871 census ties up with 1881 and 1901 census. But so far i have only found one
marriage for Benjamin Haddock in 1865 which would tie in with the birth of Clara in 1866. But the
job on this marriage is Iron roller ???
I'll keep looking.
                             Thanks Pat [piggy]

Hi Trees,

I have just rechecked the image and the marriage date was 26 May 1920, not 1926.

Jim.

Thanks for that so she married as soon as she got to Canada but what i am wondering about is the time between them going to Canada. Eight years seems a long long distance courtship if they met in GB unless he came over during the first world war Is there anyway of finding if he served in the conflict Mind Millie was 18 when he went to Canada and the War intervened so sis they indeed have a long understanding if do its a very romantic story  umm now family tradition has that she died "unable to stand the cold of Canada" but I am sure I have her death in JUNE more likely to have been a child birth death I think
Name:    Mildred Elizabeth Haddock
Event:    Death
Event Date:    12 Jun 1926
Event Place:    Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada
Gender:    Female
Age:    30
Estimated Birth Year:    1896
Father:    Chas Edward Marshall
Mother:    Susan Giles
Spouse:    Daniel Haddock

There are a couple of inaccuracies but it would be an incredible coincidence if it isn't her death.
Family say she had two children but I haven't found either yet.
Many thanks for all your help
Trees

That is great Jim 1212 Believe it or not I have already found ancestors on my mum's line in Hatchet Street (The Haddocks are on dad's side)
Where did you find it I wonder if I can locate his service record I have several interesting ones on other family members who served with the British army.
I expect the war got in the way of them marrying  that makes a bit of sense doesn't it.
This is all building up a nice picture about them now all I need is confirmation of the children

A very grateful Trees  :)
