Could someone please help with any information on David Shallcross, born Acton about 1827. I have him and his wife Elizabeth (nee Bostock) living in Hartford Cheshire in 1881.
Thank you

Hi
There is this entry in the 1841 census, wich may be him, you could verify the fathers name from Davids marriage certificate.
HO107-98-16-Folio5 May Pole Acton All born in the county.
Joseph 50 wheelwright
Martha 40
Joseph 20 wheelwright
William 15 app blacksmith
David 15
James 9
John 6
Thomas 1
There is also in Cuddington a family named Bostock headed by a Thomas the other names are difficult to read but there are two girls aged 10 and 7 in the household, again if you can verify the dads name I will check it out.

Hi - This looks very likely to be the family I am seeking. I only have a marriage certificate for Mary Shallcross, which shows David as a witness. It appears David may be her brother - I haven't been able to find his birth. It looks like I need to order a marriage certificate.
Thanks for your help

Hello Peter - I now have David's marriage certificate which shows Joseph as David's father and also Thomas as Elizabeth's. Could you please recheck the 1841 census for Bostock family. Also would there be parish records showing David's birth - cannot find him on IGI.

Hi
The 1841 for the Bostock family is very feint so names are not definate. All appear to be born in county with the only doubt being Thomas.
HO107-98-18-Page 5 Cuddington Weaverham
Thomas 50 ag lab
Mary 50
Male 12
Ann ? 10
Elizabeth 7
Not sure if there are any published parish records, but its likely it would be St Mary at Weaverham. You can check with the Cheshire RO.
