I am looking for information regarding a John Roberts who was married to my Great Grandmother Martha Jane in the Wolverhampton/Bilston area. Any help would be appreciated.
I believe he may be buried in Bilston Churchyard but have been unable to find a grave as I know he died before 1923 and a lot of the graves from that time have been destroyed or deteriorated.
The only grave I found for a John Roberts is: -
John - D 13.9.27 aged 69
Jack - D 10.6.16 aged 26 in France
Mary - D 31.3.30 aged 63
William - D 5.4.41 aged 52
Don't know if this helps anyone else
Does anyone know of a way of finding out where an actual grave is in a churchyard? I have been trying to find my maternal Great Grandparents in Heath Town Church but it is so overgrown I need a flamethrower and machete to find them.

I found this link for Bilsten - The 2nd page indicates a postal research section is available if you cannot visit.

Hiya Jason
Since I did that post I have been led to believe that John Roberts didn't exsist except on my grandmothers marriage certificate
I do have the following
Martha Jane Roberts b 1879 (my Great Grandmother)
Thomas Roberts b 1839 d 1903 who married in 1870 Martha Dobson b 1848 d 1901
Hannah Bella Roberts b 1873 who married in 1891 William Charles Richards b 1870
Thomas Roberts b 1871
William Roberts b 1891
Mary Ann Roberts b 1873 who married in 1898 Richard Kitson
Thomas Dobson b 1799 who married in 1841 Martha Tapley b 1811 d 1890
If I do come across any of your names I will let you know
