Title: 1837online
Post by: Essex export on Wednesday 11 January 06 23:10 GMT (UK)
Is it just me or has 1837online ground to a halt?

I know FeeBMD can be a bit slow but it is free.

I am getting fed up of trying to get pages to open on 1837online. When I log in I can get three or four to open - very slowly, as if I'm on dial-up not broadband. Then it grinds to a halt and after waiting ten minutes I give up log out and back in and get a few more. A waste of time and units.

It's been a real pain for a few days now. Thought it was my computer playing up.

I have always found that they answer Emails quite quickly but it is VERY frustrating at the moment.

Hi All

At least I now know it's not my computer that's playing up.

I've just had another try and it has speeded up a little and I've found a missing branch of my family tonight so things have balanced up a bit.

I wonder if "Who do you think you are?" has re awoken a few 'sleepers'?

Regards
Andy

I'm also on broadband and finding it very slow.

Even more annoying, I clicked to view a page, it took a credit off me but failed to load the page.  I refreshed, the page loaded, and it took another credit.

Hi Taffy Blue

I found the double payment problem too but also found that shutting (or "x"ing as my little niece calls it) the offending page and reclicking VIEW it opens and doesn't recharge.

I have tried on both internet explorer and firefox and it just keeps mucking up my computer and I never get to see the images. I always have to reboot my computer! I do not like the viewer they use!
