Thats really spooky because mine has come up as rowan tree and I absolutely love them. I got really upset when the people who bought my house had cut down the one that was growing in the garden. Very interesting Graceland.

healthy optimism - yes, somewhat, the glass is always half full
waiting for the one true love - I've found him!
able to make quick decisions - erm, well, erm maybe, well no, well maybe!!!!  ::) ::) ::)

Some I think are quite true, others I'm not sure about!  I can certainly make an impression and am honest, not sure about my judgment or my charm though!!

I've just googles hornbeam tree.

American Hornbeam
Common names, Musclewood, Ironwood, Bluebeech and Waterbeech.  Horn for toughness and beam an old English word for "tree" and refers to this tree's very hard, tough wood.

Leaves similar to beech, thin and beautifully translucent.  However there are many leaves giving a dense appearance and providing much cool shade in summer.  The leaves are finely and sharply double-toothed.  They are thin but firm in texture, dark green above a paler beneath, smooth with long pointed tips and rounded base.  In late Autumn they turn deep scarlet and orange.

I like my tree.

According to my book 'Searching for Hornbeam' Chris Howkins - 'it belongs to the birch family, also Hazel and Alder.  In early spring has bright green catkins and normally found in coppice woodland as gnarled little trees.  (My fiance says they are his favourite tree - full of character)  The wood was traditionally coppiced for a range of things from windmills sails to clogs.  Sounds like it was very hard wearing strong wood and was often used for charcoal as it burns hottest and longest.

Rowan Tree (Sensitivity)  Full of charm, cheerful, gifted without egoism, likes to draw attention, loves life, motion, unrest and even complications, is both dependent and independent, good taste, artistic, passionate, emotional, good company, does not forgive - oh eck, I agree with that one, my workmates once gave me a cup with ' To err is human, to forgive is not my policy'

My Celtic birth sign has me as an Alder Tree:
The Alder people are born leaders, intelligent, competitive, intuitive and strong, they march to the beat of their own drum.  They court success, are natural entertainers and exude charm.  When challenged they can become short tempered and need to practice seeking peacful outcomes through listening and negotiation.

I'm a Maple Tree apparently, which is very appropiate living in Canada surrounded by loads of Maple Trees!  :D

MAPLE TREE (Independent) - no ordinary person, full of imagination and originality, shy and reserved, ambitious, proud, self-confident, hungers for new experiences, sometimes nervous, has many complexities, good memory, learns easily, complicated love life, wants to impress.

I must say that this is very close to what I'm like, although not quite sure about the 'no ordinary person' part! :)

Apparently, I fell from the Chestnut Tree .... and its surprisingly accurate! Not sure about the beauty thing though!

CHESTNUT TREE (Honesty) - of unusual beauty, does not want to impress, well-developed sense of justice, vivacious, interested, a born diplomat, but irritates easily and sensitive in company, often due to a lack of self confidence, acts sometimes superior, feels not understood, loves only once, has difficulties in finding a partner.
