Hi
I have the Edinburgh Property owners list for 1635.
This is for the North-west, North-east, South-east & South-west Quarters.
Let me know if you want me to look anything up.

Hi, yes if you can, I'm looking for Robert Baillie of Jerviswood, he was the son of a merchant and I am interested to know where he lived and what his profession is.

Hi
Sorry for the delay.
Unfortunately I couldnt find a Robert Baillie, but I did find a mention of a George Bailie:
"Sir Patrick Home of Polwarth was made a Baronet of Nova Scotia in 1637. He was the father of that Sir Patrick, who during the 'killing time' hid in a vault in Polwarth Church, where he was supplied with food by his daughter Grizel, who became the wife of George Bailie of Jerviswood."
Sorry I couldnt be of more help on that one

Hi
No mention of Johne King in this list, unfortunately.
The only Kings listed are Alex, James and William
Sorry

Hi
Thanks for looking. What was the actual entry for George Baillie, I know all about him, having worked closely with Mellerstain House. Was there an actual address given ?
Robert Baillie was his father and was cruelly executed being framed as a participant in the Rye House Plot intended to kill Charles II. Robert's seat was Jerviswood in Lanarkshire, a tower restored recently.

Gabbers,
I wonder if you have come across any records for Torbets in the Corstophine area?
