I am researching BARETTE and DE GRUCHY
-
I have recently come back from Jersey where we did a lot of family research, I seem to recall the de gruchy name coming up in the St Ouens/St Mary's area so that might be a start for you?

You probably need to be a bit more specific.
The are over 80 de Gruchy's listed on the Jersey Archive site and that's just the one's whose christian names begin with the letter A. There are also at least 100 Barettes and of course these are just the ones that the Archive holds information about, there will be many more.

Have you looked at the ever growing sites of Donkipedia ( Guernsey) and Jerripedia( jersey ) There are loads of family trees there to download if you are lucky with the surname. I'm sure De Gruchy would be there as it is on of the more common names.
