Drumlin, Magheralin, Co Down... William Castles and wife have the following children.
c.1800 Wesley
c.1802 Joseph
c.1804 William John
c.1806 Jane
c.1808 Mary
c.1810 Thomas England marries Ruth Laverty 12 April 1836...they have the following children in Drumlin
(Drumlin Townland 251 acres on Drumlin Rd, which runs from Dromore Rd/New Forge Rd to Donaghcloney village)
1837 Thomas
1838 William John
1839 James
1840 John died
1842 Jane
1844 Westley  married Mary Theresa Bland.....has descendants in USA
Issues Wesley, Bertha Louise, Lavinia Augusta, William John, Garfield,  Eleanor Gertrude
1845 Ruth married Alexander Wilson Issues: Ruth, Joseph
1846 Joseph died
1849 Eleanor
1851 Wesley died in 1852 along with his mother Ruth

*Thomas, William, James, Jane and Eleanor emigrated to Australia between 1859-1863

1853 June 17th  Thomas England marries Mary Anne Gardner and they have the following children in Drumlin

1854 Anne married Amato Buschini...has descendants in Lancashire

Nice work!

My Castles - Cassells ancestors were from Annaloiste and Lurgan areas though we have minor links with Magheralin - Bostons and possibly Pickerings

Would be great if someone did a one name study on the Castles and Cassells. Or would that be a two name study.

I'm sorry this guy isn't from Co. Down but it's a possibility that more people named Cassells came to Ireland at the same time as Richard Cassels who was born in Kassel, Germany in 1690. He died, presumably in Ireland, in 1751.  He anglicised his name to Richard Castle.  He was one of the greatest architects working in Ireland in the 18th century. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powerscourt_Townhouse_Centre
