No luck there think this death date is just barely too old to appear in these online archives, but thanks very much for your help Sandy!

Take care,
Brenda

Hi Brenda  :)

I think we have crossed wires.  :)

I put the web page in case you wished to contact the Newspaper and needed the address.

I did not expect the date you requried to have been listed.  :)

Cheers Sandy

Hello Brenda / Sandy

Would not the Northampton Reference Library have old local newspapers on microfiche, from which you might find the obituary.

I know the Beds library has old Bedfordshire Times, Ampthill News,  etc. etc.....

cheers John

Hi again John

Have just looked at the web site and this is the link and this is what it says.

http://www.northamptonshire.gov.uk/Leisure/Libraries/local.htm

Newspapers: Northampton Mercury (from 1720), Chronicle & Echo (from 1931) and its predecessors (from c.1900), and the Northampton Independent (from 1905) are among the local newspapers, most of which are available on microfilm. Indexes to newspapers are also available, including online index for local newspapers from June 1999 to present.

Cheers Sandy

Hi Brenda

I have since searched the available newspapers for the obituary with no success, the crematorium informed me that there is no memorial and the ashes were scattered at the crematorium, they also said that he had Cornwall connections but were not allowed to give me details
