I would very much appreciate any information on the origins of John Headley, born Enderby about 1794 and christened 9 Dec 1797. He appears to have been married three times to:
Susannah Wells, 24 Aug 1819
Rachel Burrows 9 Dec 1823
and apparently
Mary Ann * after 1844.
I am not sure whether there is more than one John Headley, but the children from Susannah and Rachel do seem to be one family.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi Christine
Thank you for the personal message re the Headley family. I am not sure how to reply to personal messages on this site, so my appologies if I am using the wrong method.
I do have quite an amount of information on the Headley family as they were my mothers family. John Headley may have had three wives and families, Rachel being his second wife. I am interested in confirming this fact, or proving that it is incorrect and also to find out who were John's parents.
I am quite willing to share the information that I have with you, can you suggest a way of doing this?
Regards
Jeff

Hi Jeff,
LDS have two John Headleys christened in Enderby within a couple of years of each other:
9th Dec 1798, son of Marston Headley and Sarah
7th Feb 1802, son of Bryan Headley and Hannah Fletcher.
With the older John marrying Susannah Wells.
The only reference I can find to a Rachel is for a marriage to John Headley born "about 1808". So it could be to either of the Johns above.
I don't have access to detailed records, I'm sorry, but I hope this is a little help.
Best regards,
Alison

Hi Alison
Thank you for the information on the two John Headley's. I think that my John may be the older one that you found and he possibly married again to Rachel Burrows. I did not find Bryan and Hannah when I searched LDS some time ago, so thank you for that item.
I am sorry that I have not replied before but computer problems followed by two weeks holiday meant that I did not see your reply until 8th October.
