Hi,
I wondered if anyone had access to the parish records of Worcester.
I have a John Green (who was born in Aylestone, Leicestershire) who married an Ann of Worcestershire.
They had several children at Lindridge, but I have just discovered two earlier children, John born in Claines in 1819 and another, Mary Ann, who may have been born in Claines in 1813, or St Helen Worcester in 1816 (IGI).
The IGI gives two marriages between a John and Ann:
John m Ann Burford, 1815 - St Peter Worcester
John m Ann Dorrell, 1815 - Claines
There weren't any pre 1813 in Claines.
I've been struggling with this line for ages (Green being such a common name). I'm not sure how near to Worcester Claines is (John on 61 census gave Claines as place of birth, but in 51 said Worcester City, and in 71 said St Oswald's Worcester!!)
On the actual marriage records it may say that John was from Leicestershire, which will pinpoint it.
Thank you if you can help, or give advice. ;)
Regards,
Diane
