Hello Janet,

I was wondering if you could confirm that my ancestor stayed in Moreton Bay.

I have info stating he arrived to moreton bay on the ship John Caesar aged 26 yrsin 1856 but until his marriage in 1864 to Ellen Hayman. I can't seem to find any info. in those eight years i would like to know what he was doing or any info. his marriage was in Maryborough and states he is a farmer

Name - Franz (Francis) Kapper
born - 1830 in Germany

Thanks for any help.
Lauren

Hi Lauren
I don't think that I can be of much help - the only suggestion I can make is for you to try the Maryborough Historical Society but I am not sure if they have a web site.
Also perhaps the Qld Archives - you should find both by Google or another search engine.
Good Luck - sorry I can't be of more help!
Cheers
Janet

Lauren,
Yes all you have there is correct. As far as I am aware he spent his time in Maryborough , How he got from Bris to Mary don.t know. Where do you fit into the picture. Having only used this site the first time don't know enough about it. How do I go about contacting you personally. Thanks Wendy
