Is there are chance of finding the following on these lists between 1888 and 1890 please:

William James Hills  b.12 July 1862 Cambridge, UK

 Elizabeth Pledger b.21 Dec.1861 Stoke-by-Clare, UK

They did not travel together - William probably 1888/89 and Elizabeth 1889/90

 Here's hoping.  Many thanks.

I don't suppose while people are on a roll here if there happens to be a Lawrence Benjamin Wilber/Wilbur listed?  He would have come over in the 1880's from Sweden.  Thanks!

Thank you so much for the inf.re Wiliam Hills and Elizabeth Pledger - feel pretty confident that the
28 yr old William is the one - although he wouldn't have been 28 until 9th July...and the date for Elizabeth fits
with them being married almost immediately - the first child was born 20th June 1891!  Unfortunately marriage
records in NJ around that time have been destroyed.
 Thanks again.

Will someone please look up a name for me on the New York Passenger List for 1851-1891 and give me the details.  The name is Max P. Liebnitz.  I would appreciate any information.  Thank you so much.

Did they arrive in New York? If yes, then use Steve Morse's OneStep Search Engines at htp://www.stevemorse.org/  Steve has 2 OneSteps to search 2 different Castle Garden online databases

 Good luck

Sure would appreciate a lookup! David Little emigrated to NY in 1856. He was from County Down, IRL, but I don't know what port he sailed from. His wife was Elisabeth Jameson Martin. Thanks!

I should have added that Castle Garden existed as a processing station for immigrants to New York between 1855 and 1890. There is no separate set of records for Castle Garden, as there is for Ellis Island.

Passenger lists for the Castle Garden time period are available on microfilm so if you know a date of arrival or a ship name you can order the microfilm OR have NARA do a lookup for you OR you can use Steve Morse's ONE-STEP search engines.

There are two One-Steps -- one searches the free castlegarden.org website (CAVEAT: It contains ships going to ports other than NY but they are not noted as such), one searches Ancestry.com's pay-to-view database (which contains images taken directly from the NARA microfilms and consists only of ships to New York)

To check the complete list of film numbers (NARA or FHC) for ships going to New York after 1820, find your date
(year, month, day if known) and write down the NARA  or Family History Centre film number you need from the list at http://olivetreegenealogy.com/ships/filmnos_newyork.shtml

For more help with this time period see "Castle Garden:Ships Passenger Lists to New York 1 Aug.1855 - 18 Apr. 1890" at http://www.rootsweb.com/~ote/ships/castle-garden.htm
