Hi People
Just starting out and would like to find a Frederick Winder born islington date unknown in the 1871 census
ive found him in the 1881 married to a Rosina Winder (nee Hobbs) aged 31 and she is aged 20 (i think that the 31 might be wrong)
In the 1891 they are both mentioned but Now Frederick winder (butcher) is 32 and rose is 31
in the 1901 census Rosina is 40 and Frederick is now 49 so it all seems very strange to me. rosina age seems fairly constant
Ive found a Frederick winder born in 1859 oct-dec in kings (which i take is Kings Cross) ive also found a Frederick winder born in 1852 so i hope this info will help someone find him for me

Hi
Here is the marriage of Frederick and Rosina, a good idea may be to obtain a copy of the certificate, this would give his fathers name and if he was alive or dead when they married in 1881. This would give something else to research for the 1871 census. It would also hopefully give Fredericks age at marriage.
Name Year Quarter District County Volume Page
HOBBS, Rosina Ragatha 1881 June Edmonton Essex Hertfordshire Middlesex 3a 373
Winder, Frederick 1881 June Edmonton Essex Hertfordshire Middlesex 3a 373
I have looked on the 1871 census and this is the only Frederick born Islington

This is bit is interesting and indicates that it could be the correct family, Frederick the father is listed as a Journeyman Butcher.
I will send you the image.

Dear Nicky
Many Thanks for the help
I did find a few winters as well, but decided that they could not be, but i think you are right.
Since the amount of typing errors ive found in the census records i will be liberal minded in the future
again many thanks

Hi Jem
Have just looked at my Winder file and found that John Winder also called one of his daughters Rosina, maybe a co-incidence but quite unusual name so may reinforce the theory that the famiy is connected in some way.
