Thank you for that, better get a copy birth certificate from Shropshire to check Louisa/Lucy name, particularly as I cannot locate her marriage to George Robinson.

Samuel Lloyd and Ann are my 3rd great grandparents on my mothers side. I would be interested in sharing information with you about this family.

His son John was the father of Matilda my maternal great Grandmother.

I hope this helps.

Hi,

How about this marriage,

Lucy LLOYD  Jun Q 1867  Manchester  v.8d  p.384
George ROBINSON with same details.

Oops  :) just realised that this message is quite old so you probably have seen this already, but I've posted it just in case  :)

Thanks for that. Ebn has sent me quite alot of information which has added to my knowledge. I thought this Manchester marriage was odd at first but I then realised I had alreday found it myself and used it as a basis for Lucy lloyd marrying George Robinson.

Why  they would marry in Manchester is a mystery though as both were from Shropshire and continue to live and have children in Shropshire.

Perhaps Ebn can shed some light ?

It was a mystery to me too, and I left it to one side for a while thinking it was inaccurate. But it IS the only marriage to fit.

I think they had their first child before marriage and married afterwards, but why in Manchester I cannot think.
