Hi ya, I dont seem to be able to find Brierley Hill on the 1841 Staffordshire census.
It may be on the Worcestershire census, but someone else may be able to confirm this.
Regards

Williams
Not easy unless you make it so in 1841.................especially with a name like Williams!
I gather Edward is the head of the family and Elizabeth is his wife? and they are aged somewhere between 20 and still alive?
I can see 86 Edward Williams in Staffs alone............Stourbridge doesn't show as a Parish and they might not be in Staffs?
more info required to make it at least hopefulllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

Thanks to you all for your efforts
The family have now been found
1841 HO107/0996 Folio 14/41 Page 10
1851 HO107/1999 Folio 394 Page 22 GSU 87401
& HO107/2036 Ed 15 Page 1House 1 GSU 87443-87444
It seems Edward was in the Stafford county Jail in 1851. I have been unable to find out the reason so can only assume he was in the Debtors Jail.
Thanks again
Carol
