Hi Colin,
I wonder if these Craigs of Ballymena and Adam Steele, also of Ballymena, are related to your ancestors

Hi Christopher, almost all my Ballymena ancestors were employed in the linen works around Cullybackey. A few were farmers but the only ones in the town were Larkins who were lawyers.

My GGG Grandmother was Nancy "Agnes" (nee Craig) Gordon w/o Thomas Gordon. Agnes was born circa 1801, and she married Thomas circa 1820. Their first born child, per an entry from her Bible was Rose Gordon; October 28, 1822, second born was John Gordon May 22, 1824 -- all born on the Townland of Drummuck (near Village of Broughshane), Co. Antrim, Ireland. I have NO idea of the parents or siblings of Agnes. I suspect she "may" have been married in the church now known as Cunningham Memorial of Cullybacky. Does anyone know if those marriages, which are extant from 1818-1838, in the books of this church have been transcribed and online? The names of the children of Thomas and Agnes (Craig) Gordon and in order of birth were: Rose, John, James, Thomas, Jane, Grace, David, Nancy (Agnes), Rebecca and Joseph. After Thomas died in 1851, his widow and some of her children removed to live in Ontario Canada, where she died in 1877 and is buried. Children who remained in Co Antrim later left and also removed to live in Canada and my line removed from Canada to live/pass in the state of Michigan USA. Thanks, Michelle
