I am looking for information about my GGG Grandfather, JAMES SMITH. The only document I have on his is his death record (d. June 5, 1863 in Kincardine O' Neil) which has him at 70 years old and his parents as JOHN SMITH (cattle dealer) and AGNES STUART. I checked the IGI and found a possible birth as Sept. 1792 in Kincardine O'Neil.
I know he was married to ELIZABETH FORBES (date unknown) and had at least 2 children: Elizabeth (b. ca. 1838 -- my GG Grandmother) and John (who gave the information on James' death).
If anyone could help out on James and Elizabeth's marriage, dates for his children and information about his parents, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks so much.

Thanks so much! I had the marriage record, but didn't think that it was the same couple (I'm not sure where Daviot is compared to Kincardine O'Neil).

Hi,
My Milnes are from Elizabeth Milne (b. 1828 d.1913-- Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire). Her parents are James Milne (b. ca. 1796) and Mary Ann Matheson (b.ca. 1799 d. after 1881). I have their marriage intention paper from 1817. That's all the information I have at the moment, but am still working on it. Any of these names sound familiar?
