Ann Pride nee Fergusson died aged 71 in 1954 in Dunoon, Argyll

This could be James' wife, need to get death certificate.

There is a James Pride aged 19 in 1901 census living in Gorbals area of Glasgow City.

Find death cert and census record at:

L23,

Many, many thanks for your prompt reply.
I had searched the 1901 Census on Scotlandspeople but after your message I rechecked & had found I have entered Govan in the search criteria for some reason...so thank you for that.
I will apply for the death Cert as you suggest.
Merry Christmas,
John

Hi Isobel,

Thanks for all the information...the old devil.
I wonder if she wore him out over his last 18 months OR he got another 18 months because he married her.

I had the death of Annie Pride in 1954 from Scotlandspeople site but could not read it clearly, you have gven me the correct details!(address & Informant).
The address sounds as though it could have been the retirement home for all three of them, I wonder what went on out in the broom closet!

A very best Christmas wish for all the help you have given me,
Regards,
John,
