Title: Mary Morgan [marriage]
Post by: eirwen on Monday 12 December 05 13:36 GMT (UK)
Has anyone access for marriages in Pontypridd area 1891- 1901 . Looking for the marriage of a Mary Morgan born 1872 I have no idea to who she married. All I know is that she is the daughter of William Morgan [a harpist  who was deceased by 1891.] Mary I believe was living in Wood Road in 1891 and it was from this address her brother John married in 1893. Asking a lot , but have had good results in the past, so for ever hopeful. Thankyou Alun.

HI
have you found her brother on the 1901 census if she did not marry she could be living with her brother. But, she may live next door to him or down the road. Are you sure that she married? because you have no marriage name to go by.
It was just a thought not much help really...sorry
cheers cardiff

Hello Eirwen.

Don't want to send you on a wild goose chase but my great-g/father Bryan Evans married a Mary Morgan (I thought born 1869) on 16 September 1896 (don't know where).

They had 4 children - Ivor, b 1897; Gladys, b 1899 or 1900; Clifford and Mervyn.

Ivor was my g/father.

I believe Mary died 1942 in Swansea (bombing raid?)
Bryan died 1955.

This may be right off course but on the other hand may help.

Regards

Antipodes

Thankyou for the interest. Have now discovered that my grandfather's sister M aryMorgan married a Ivor Williams. But thankyou for showing an interest in my research. Eirwen
