Hi
I am assuming you have access to the records.
RG10/2779/10/9
shows them living at Pentrecwm, Llansilin and a Thomas RICHARDS living at America.
kind regards, Arranroots ;)

RG9/1876/9/11
Thomas ELLIS is living at America.
David & Jane JONES & daughter Jane, son Edward next door at Llainwen.
I wonder if they actually moved or the enumerator just got the houses muddled? Also where are their other children in 1861?
A ;)

I don't see a property named America in the 1891 census, but your Jane & David appear to be at "Bargale", Llansilin
RG12/2115/7/8
I hope I have the right couple each time - half the village is called JONES!! ;D

Hello, I'm not sure if I can be of any help to you but America cottage is now owned by my partner. It has been in his family for generations and his mother spent her childhood there, Barbara Jones as did her father, John Oswald Jones (ossie) who is now 96. It becames Ossies house when his father died and he inherited it. If you need to know anymore info I'll be as helpful as I can.

Hi
I actually remember coming up and meeting Barbara and Oswald, who i must say was looking very good for his age. My Grandfather was Bertram Jones, whos father was Richard Arthur the son of Thomas Jones whos parents were David and Jane. Thomas married Elizabeth Oliver. Thomas was born in America cottage and at the time of his marriage was registered as living there.
Barbara would have remembered us visiting as i came with my grandmother was is a stocker from shropshire. I know that Barabara has done extensive research on our Jones side of the family and i would love to get in contact with her. I did write a while ago but not sure if i had the correct address.
Hope to speak soon

Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone would be happy for me to get in touch with them to find more information out about this wonderful hidden gem? I’ve seen it posted on a few news articles online but can never find out the real information of the place. I live 15 minutes from llansilin and my grandma used to live there, would love to be able to tell her some years and names to see if she knew anyone.
Many thanks,
Florence.
