Alson in Kerry is an unusual surname.
According to one of my record books. It says the following.

Thomas and Joyce Alton of Tralee in 1779.
Had two daughters
Elizabeth and Margaret.
William Alton M.D. of Tralee in 1831.
(that is all it says)
