What exactly does it say, Falkyrn?

At the moment I can search, but not view the results.  Does registering make any difference???  there don't seem to be any instructions for tomorrow on site.

kind regards, Arranroots  ;)

The article simply refers to the fact that access will be free during the time period mentioned as part commemoration of St Andrews Day and first birthday of the site itself. ... I've also had a look at the site today which doesn't add any further information .... I can only assume that during the time period given the searches will allow full access to the articles

Falkyrn
Thank you for posting this, I would have missed it otherwise. I wanted to search the War casualties lists a while back but lack of funds prevented me from subscribing so this is brilliant. ;D

Hi there. Following your helpful directions re The scotman free access to archives week, I have registered, but can't find any 'free' option on any subscription page. Are you able to help, please?  :-\Nordmann

Hi Nordmann

This was posted five years ago - the offer ran out I'm afraid.

Welcome to Rootschat though - hope we can help you in some other respect.

Kind regards, Arranroots  ;)

Sadly this was a one off and has never , to my knowledge, been repeated since 2005

Thank you both for setting me straight. Must have seemed like a question from Mars. The day & date ie Tuesday Nov. 30 is coincidentally the same as for this year.

Yes, these days I have research interests in Scotland, England & Norway. Scotland & England are new for me here in Australia. The forum is looking very interesting.

Regards, Nordmann
