Hello,

Can anyone, please do me 1841 census lookups of these SUTTCLIFF(e) people all born to same family in Thrapston, Nothants.

Isaac born 1795, George 1796, John 1788, Mary 1791 & Sarah 1799
I appreciate that the females may well be married by then.

I do know their brother Samuel was in Woodston in 1841 onwards.

Could see no other Sutcliffes in Woodstone

Hunts marriage index
Samuel Suttcliff widower marr Sarah Baker at Woodston 1822

This was the only Sutcliffe or variation marriage in Hunts 1754-1837.

Burials
Woodston Samuel Sutcliffe age 1 14 Oct 1832
Woodston Sarah Sutcliffe age 4 27 Nov 1831
Yaxley George Sutcliff age 74 2 Dec 1899

As for the rest of the family in 1841, needles and haystacks  I'm afraid, even if they were in Hunts

The Samuel S you've found; his daughter Ann married John Partridge - I was looking for his brothers/sisters as listed on IGI, seems not found/recorded in Hunts nor Northants.

similar info was posted on 'Suttcliffes of Thrapston' topic ; on the Northamptonshire lookups board.  Possibly the Mary was wife of John S but have got no proof as yet.

I am writing a book about the family history of Woodstone from 1841 to around 1940.

I have all the census from 1841 to 1901 and am aware of the Sutcliffe family being in woodstone in 1841 for a few years.

I wonder if you have anything that you could tell me with regards to this family that I can include. Do you have any photographs of his family at all?

If I can help with census info please let me know.

I have only the info gleaned from census & info found by other RootsChatterers

My gt-gt-grandfather John P who was born in Sharnbrook Beds, & married Ann Suttcliffe in 1863 in Peterborough 1863 & raised his family there. His firstborn son Frederick moved back to Bedford sometime betweem 1891-1901. Why John P moved to Peterborough was most likely due to work available on building the railways.  How he met Ann Suttcliffe is not known as yet.
