Title: Need to Find Family of Janet Sharp

I would really like to find some trace of my 3xgrandmother's family she was Janet Sharp born c 1788 Midlothian?  she married David Smail about 1805 their first daughter Betty was born in 1806 Stow any help would be great Thanks Harriet ???

Found  the following children  Betty Smeal  christened  2March 1806

Margaret Smael  born  10 July  1807

Archibald Smael  born   1809

all born Stow.  The letters in surname seem too be wrong way round .

Hi No i have no idea who her parents were thats what i have been stuck on for some time now,going by the scottish naming patterns her mother would be Elizabeth and her father Adam but thats only the children i have found so their may be other children i havent found also i have not found any record of her marraige to David although thats not unusual Bye Harriet ???

Hi Harriot -
This is a long shot, but Sharp in Scotland can also be spelled Shairp.  That is my family tree, and Janet Shairp is a common name in that family - I found four of them but unfortunately, I don't have dates or spouses for them.  Most of the names I got off Sasines and they were all daughters, wives, or sisters of various Thomas Shairps of Houston in Uphall.  Just another direction to look that might help.

Thank you for that i will try and see what i come up with she married David Smail/Smeal although i have not found any record of that.I also see there seems to be a lot of Sharp families in Clackmannan   Bye Harriet  :D
