Looking for Jane Graham born about 1854 in West Linton, Kirklinton, Cumberland England (marriage or death) also son Robert William Stanley Graham born 1879 in Cumberland. Robert was a police oficer who took his training in Motherwell at the age of 18 years. (1897) and then  on police force in Glasgow at the age of 20 years (1899) and at Lanarkshire 1899 then Wishaw 1899 until  about 1901 and then to uddigton Dec. of 1901  until 1903.

I still am unable to find any information regarding Roberts mother Jane Graham daughter of William and Jane Graham from West Linton, Kirklinton, Cumberland.  On Roberts birth certificate it states mothers name/father unknown so I presume that she was not married at that time  Can't find any  later marriage information or any death information.  Have really come to a brick wall on this one.

I thought perhaps Jane was unmarried when I found Robert as a nurse child. I had a look for her in 1881 and found this possibility.

1881 Census  Stanwix Cumberland  RG11/5161  Folio: 7  Page: 5

Jane Graham, un, 27, Domestic Servant, Cook, Carlisle Cumberland.

Servant in the home of George Dove  & Family, Magistrate and Civil Engineer.

If I can find any more info on Jane I will post it here.
