Hi Christopher
I'm looking for a Frank / Francis Quinn who spent his whole life on the railways and the date (1931) looks pretty good.
Can you tell me a bit more about that source you mentioned because I've been looking around for it and can't find it at all.
Cheers

Seasons Greetings BiscuitTin,
Welcome to RootsChat.
My source may have been a book. I have a number of books on railways in Ireland.
An email to Co. Donegal Railway Restoration Ltd. (http://www.cdrrl.com) might produce a result.
You could write to An Mhuc Dhubh Historic Railway, Fintown. Co. Donegal as well.

Hiya BiscuitTin,
The Public Record Office in Belfast have a County Donegal Railway 1893-1902: ledger and cash book
in their collection of UTA records. Other records include 19th-20th century records for the Ards Railway, Ards, County Donegal.

HI Christopher
Thanks for all the info you provide. My GF worked in Creeslough as a carpenter for Donegal Railway so was interested in your reference to ledger and cash book in PRONI. Checked that website and can't find any listing for the material. Can you tell me what UTA Records are?
Just preparing for my next visit to Belfast. Sheilago
