I have found a birth in Free BDM search for
Albert Thomas Wilkinson Islington, in Sept 1898
is it a coincidence that in
June 1898 there is a marriage of
Albert Thomas Wilkinson
to either
Florence Louise Smith or Sarah West
would one of these be his mother?
You can of course order a certificate for Albert Thomas from either the local registrars office or from ONS at a cost of £7.00

Hi again
I did look further but couldn't find them, what about an alternate spelling. What I have done in the past is to put in the Christian name on the census, approx age + or - 2 years, place of birth (it states Islington but it could be local to that, I think Islington is a large area),    see what comes up, I have been able to find a couple of mine like that miss-spelt.

Happy hunting
