Hullo Everyone ,
                    Researching James Fines left Kildare Irelane on the Medina as a convict in 1823 father Michael Fines mother Catherine Mcabe transported to Bathurst in NSW married Catherine Disney in 1863 buried in Bathurst Cemetery (old)

I am sorry I am unable to find anything about Fines in Co. Kildare. During the years 1848-64 Griffiths Valuation of Ireland the surname was found in Co. Antrim and Co. Meath http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths.php

Have you tried The Kildare Heritage and Genealogical Society http://scripts.ireland.com/ancestor/browse/addresses/heritagea-k.htm

            My Fines ancestors seemed to be a mystry have been told that a lot migrated to Canada the search goes on

Hello Doug,

How about following the McCabe connection in Co. Kildare. There are a number of them listed in the Valuations on failteromhat.com Maybe the Fines family came from the same Parish.
