Hoping to find someone researching the family of Robert & Sarah. They had a son William born about 1844 Shanbally Tipperary Ireland. He is my great great grandfather and he married Harriet Ann Burton 30/10/1869 at Clogheen Tipperary and then came to Australia in 1872. They had a son born 5/9/1871 Kilbrittain Cork named William Robert Holmes. Robert Holmes was a veterinarian and I found reference to him in Griffiths Valuation on Viscount Lismore's land.I would love to know if William had any siblings and what happened to them.

Hi. This is my direct family.
William Holmes who married Harriet Ann Burton is my great grandfather.
I can help you with some information. Where are you?
Yes it's true. Robert, in Ireland was known for being very very good with horses and looking after them in particular. I do not think he ever studied as a "vetenarian', but he was so good he was named as such.
Which William are you trying to find info about. The son Wlliam Robert?
It's amazing me finding your post. It's now 2026 and I think you posted in 2005 and no one has answered. I stumbled on this as I was just looking again through the Tipperary site in case there was any post of interest. Yours was on page 20.
Are you still interested or have you found what you were asking about?
Regards
Essnell

The OP hasn't been online here since December 2005 and is unlikely to reply.

Hi Kiltaglassen,
I noticed that and hoped they might. If I do not get a reply I might try researching a bit more down that road. It's my own family .
We shall see . Thanks Essnell.

Hi Kiltaglassen,
Exactly!. I find it strange that 4500 odd times it has been read, over that 21yr span time and not one response.
I guess they were all waiting to see what did get posted and missed out. I have some very long threads here with big numbers of followers. They are all interested which is really great.
this one doesn't do that it's got me awfully curious.
any way I've dug out my files and am setting up a tree for myself to see if i can work out this extra line to my family.
so it's useful.

Hi Kiltaglassen,
Thanks for the reply re William and Harriet and their son. William is my gt grandfather too.hechad a brother , Robert. And about 20 odd years ago I got all this sorted as to where they originally came from. Quite a search back then.
So far nothing from this other person looking for them .
I would like to know who he actually is and where he is. Could be a cousin.
William and Harriet had quite a large family so someone somewhere in that was curious, once upon a time
.
Who ever it is should be receiving notifications of these posts. Hopefully the still have the same e-mail.

Hi
Sinan,, Thanks for those links. Have read through.
They don't make much sense to me yet. Especially after the one relating to me.
Must be a different line for this person.

Essnell,
Can you explain how you are related to the Lewis family line?
Thanks
-
Hi Kiltaglassen,
Unfortunately no. No idea at all.
It's possibly a different Gt grandparent line of whezzer's.
Maybe their mother's side.
Those other posts are completely new info to me.

Hi Kiltaglassen,
Later I will endeavour to see what might be the case with this.
There should be something given what was in the first post as that is all definitely my great grandfather 's family.
