My gggrnadfather, William Dixon was born c1848 in Epworth.

I know he was married to Sarah Greenfield in 1877 in Thorne District and they had a son, Samuel, who was born in Wroot c1879.

I've been told that William actually remarried after Samuel was born but I haven't been able to trace any information.

Can anyone check civil registration, 1891 & 1901 census to see if there are any clues as to his second wife (name not known),& family.

Family links all seem to be around the Isle of Axholme, Epworth, Belton, Owston, Wroot area.

It looks as if they live at The Granfer. (I can't really read that "f")

Living at the Grange, Wroot, he  is a Widow with three servants

1901  RG/13/4417/40/14

Still living at The Grange, Wroot with servants and his wife Hannha E b 1849 Springthorpe, Lincs.
