Hi,
for a long time I have been trying to find Thomas Daniel and his children Elizabeth and Henry in the 1841 census. Thomas would be about 35 and a collier.
I would also be interested to know if anyone could pick him up in the 1861 census when Thomas would be aged about 55.
They were in Poynton in 1851 but I can't find them in 1841 or any other time.
If anyone can help I would be very grateful.
Thanks
Jean

Hi Jean

Hi Jean, you sent me a message recently asking if our Daniel family trees were connected. The short anser is, I don't know. The furthest I have got back to is 1795 when Isaiah Daniel was born in Hazel Grove/Norbury. However, I do not know anything more about him, who his parents or siblings were. It could well be that he and Thomas were brothers or cousins, but I cannot say. I do know that my family were from Wales and were still speaking Welsh into the 1800's. If this sounds as though it fits in with your family, then hopefully we will have more to talk about. Could you let me know if this is the case? Thanks Evelyn

Hi Evelyn,
sorry I really do not know anything about the family speaking Welsh. It just seems a coincidence the 2 families being in the same area around 1800. There isn't an Isaiah though as far as I know and usually family names were passed on.
Will let you know if I find out more.
Regards
Jean
