Hi there
Just going back over old messages. My Great Great Grandfather was Charles Welton of Wreningham he had a brother William born about 1836 - married an Elizabeth Cutting.
William and Charles's parents were John Welton and Susan Howard.
Any connection?

Hi Helen,
I have looked through all of the Welton's I have but I can't connect any to the names you have given. I do have Charles's, William's and John's but none of the father's match. I could have some of mine incorrect, you know how difficult it is to obtain information so I will let you know if I come across anything of interest. Do you have any CORNELIUS'S in your line? I'll keep in touch, thanks for contacting me.

Hi there Joan
Yes I do have a Cornelius. He was one of Charles Welton and Lydia Thompson's sons, the brother of my great grandmother. It 1901 census he was known as Charles Welton and living in London with his wife Maria and stepchildren and children.
kind regards
Helen

Hi Helen,
I was hoping that if you had a Cornelius, it might be the same as mine but unfortunately not. My Cornelius was born about 1770 in Thorpe Abbot in Norfolk. There were several other Cornelius's born in the surrounding area to mine but I haven't yet been able to find the connections, if any. I'm sure they were all related to each other in some way, the area isn't that large. It seems possible that your Welton's were also related, it just needs a little more research to find out where. I lost track of my Cornelius in 1800, I know that his wife, daughter and 1 son died around that time but I don't know what happened to him after that. His other son Benjamin moved to Marylebone in the London area, I found him in 1841. What area of London did your Welton's live in? If we keep chipping away at this, we might find something.
Regards, Joan
