Looking for ancestors of Joseph Cresswell Born 1804 in Stoke Orchard, Glouc. He married Allis. Who was Allis? when and where were they married? Probably in the 1830. Joseph was a Blacksmith as was his son James. On the 1881 census James was living at The Furzen, Elmstone, Hardwick. Was this a building or an area.Would like any information. I know more recent members of the family lived in Cheltenham.
Still researching for Mother in Law

He married Allis. Who was Allis?
The Alices baptised in Winchcomb around 1803 were
Alice EVANS of Thomas and Ann, 23 Mar 1800
Alice WILLIAMS of Robert and Esther, 17 Nov 1805
Alice WOOLVIN of John and Elizabeth, 18 July 1802
The parents' names don't seem to be much help :(

This is the same Joseph Cresswell in my family tree - my great great grandfather. He was a blacksmith in Stoke Orchard and he and Alice had 5 children that I know of: William Cresswell (also a blacksmith), James, Lucinda, Eliza and Angelina. I am descended through William.
Alice Woolvin was baptised July 18, 1802. Her father is John Woolvin and her mother was Elizabeth (maiden name unknown). Still working on the Cresswell and Woolvin lines. If I can be of any assistance please let me know.
